001 VOLTRON DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE

RETRO SHOCK- “Bad Birthday Party” (1984): Its a weekday afternoon and Bob and Tim are out of school … by about 24 years.  And so they’ve rushed home to grab some rug and turn both heads toward the cathode-tube promise of syndicated animation.  What they want are mechanical lions, mighty robots and one blazing sword.  What they get are re-dubbed body horrors, implied decapitations and, YES, a blazing sword.
