20th Century Popcast is a podcast that tries to understand the present by living in the past. Each week hosts Bob and Tim take a sociological look at the pop culture of the '80s and '90s. Its a ruining of their childhood that hopefully explains how they became adults.
RETRO SHOCK: "Heart and soul and a massive discomfort." (1988) Who doesn't like an age-appropriate Tom Hanks? Well, Amy Poehler, for one. Still, in 1988, this former Bosom Buddy made a splash at the box office by starring in the Penny Marshall film "Big". But re-watching it 30 years later, Bob and Tim are finding themselves a little uncomfortable with that particular thing he did. (Larry Crowne pun still pending).
